It was so exciting to drive across the Mississippi River and then 10 to 12 miles right alongside the river to this beautiful place where we get to live for six months! We have been welcomed so kindly by everyone we meet and the Temple presidency has gone to extraordinary lengths to prepare the way for us and make everything as good as it can be. We had a brief introductory meeting with President and Sister Mckay and then came to our apartment to unload our things. The apartment is lovely and spacious and will be comfortable and perfect. We unpacked and settled in a bit and then drove back to Keokuk to get groceries and supplies at the Walmart. $200 later we came back, unloaded again and then I dashed off to hear the young missionaries concert - beautiful music about the Saviors love. It was a perfect end to a perfect day. I am so grateful to be here. I can hardly believe we received this sweet blessing. I look forward to every day and every experience!
