After visiting Kanesville we went for a long drive to the Danish America museum in a little town an hour away. The museum was interesting and gave us some insights into our family background but I especially loved driving through the beautiful rural countryside. Now I really know what rolling hills look like. The land was as green as Ireland and the neat farms were beautiful. GPS took us on some real back roads and we wondered if we’d make it back to civilization but I loved it. No picture could do it justice.
